Kaspersky Lab, the leader in security software, launches its latest 2011 version of the home user products in Bangladesh. In a grand event hosted at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre, Dhaka, the new product lines were introduced to the IT business community on 8 August 2010. Mr. Muhammad Faruk Khan, MP, Hon'ble Minister of Commerce graced the occasion as the chief guest, while Mr. M. Zabitov, Charge d' Affairs of Embassy of the Russia Federation in Bangladesh was present as the special guest. Miss Suk Ling Gun, Managing Director of Kaspersky Lab - South Asia was the key note speaker.

Commerce Minister Mr. Muhammad Faruk Khan in his speech praised the effectiveness of Kaspersky security software in Bangladesh and greeted its distributor Officextracts to popularizing the use of legal software in the local market. Upon formal speeches and presentation the minister announced the launch of Kaspersky Lab 2011 product line in Bangladesh.

Titled "Towards a Safe Digital Bangladesh" the event envisioned Kaspersky Lab's participation in the safety of a Digital Bangladesh. Kaspersky is a very popular brand name in Bangladesh and the pioneer in popularizing the use of legal security software locally.

The launch event was preceded by a training session for the channel partners & users on the features & modules of the Kaspersky Lab 2011 new product line that held at the conference room of IBD Bhaban, Sher-E-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka in the forenoon of the same day.

The launch event & training session were jointly hosted by Kaspersky Lab and Officextracts, the exclusive distributor of Kaspersky Lab in Bangladesh.
