Kaspersky Lab announces to hold its annual "IT Security for the Next Generation" student conference as a part of the Kaspersky Academy education program. The conference will take place at the University of Technology MARA in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on February 25-28, 2011. Bachelor and Master Students from all Asia Pacific, African and Middle East Universities, Institutes of Higher Education and Graduate Schools are welcome to apply. Interested students must register over internet browsing www.kaspersky.com/events within October 30, 2010 and submit papers within November 20, 2010 in order to participate at the conference.
The best 3 submissions from Bangladesh will be considered to compete among the participants from the regions of Asia Pacific (China, SA, SEA, Korea, ANZ & NA) and Middle East & Africa (MEA). Bangladesh belongs to the region of SA (South Asia - comprised of Bangladesh, India, Nepal and Sri Lanka). Authors of the best 3 selected papers from each region and altogether 30-40 papers will be invited to attend the aforesaid "IT Security for the Next Generation" conference in Malaysia, where the Kaspersky Lab’s Asia Pacific and MEA Cup will take place leading to the International Cup 2011 to be held in April 2011 either in Munich or in Zurich. 3-8 papers will be selected from among the participants at Kaspersky Lab’s Asia Pacific and MEA Cup to participate at the International Cup. Upon competition at the International Cup, the top 3 papers will be awarded & given prizes of US$ 500.00 - 1,000.00.
Aauthors of the best research papers, as assessed by the program committee, will be invited to present their work at the Conference. Expenses (travel and hotel) may be paid for participants from other cities and countries, at the discretion of Kaspersky Lab.
The program committee including Kaspersky Lab CEO and cofounder Eugene Kaspersky & world-known technical experts will evaluate the submissions through the process.
